Summer crowds — early bird or twilight shift?
Now the schools are nearly out: are you setting a 5am alarm or holding out for the evening emptying? I can't decide which I hate less.
Dawn, every time. The car park alone justifies it — by 9am you're queueing for a space behind four hundred bodyboards.
Evenings for me. The light's better, the water's warmer, and I don't have to speak to anyone before coffee.
The real answer is a Tuesday morning in November, but we've got six weeks of sharing to get through first.
Early. And if you see a club hoodie in the lineup at 5:45, say hello — there's usually three or four of us.
